Why Are Designers Important?

So many words are overused today: eco-friendly, curated, sustainable, mindful, and designer. There are more of course, but these initially came to mind. As you well know, many of the things we read online are not true, a skillful writer utilizes adjectives and buzzwords to capture your interest and trust. I’m trying to be the best version I can be of myself. I believe in representing my business in the truest sense. Every time I turn around I hear about so and so being a designer. Are they really, or self proclaimed? I’m not judging, but I can’t go around saying I’m a corporate attorney or a cardiac surgeon unless I really am. So now you’re thinking, well duh, what is he jabbering about now? What I’m saying is, here we are at this unique moment in time, we’re in need of a safe harbor, perhaps now more than ever. Pandemic or not, we need beauty and inspiration desperately. This is only one reason why great design and designers are so very necessary. I can’t say this enough or too often.

If you’re a regular reader you know how passionate I am about design. If you’re a new reader you may not know how crucial design is to me. Great design is important, it’s healing and uplifting, it can be a downright joyous thing. It’s like being in love, that perfect moment when know you could die now because you’re so goddamn happy. Of course you don’t want to die, but if you did it’s ok since you’ll die happy. Can you relate?

Have you been to Firenze? I could die happy here.

Designers inspire us, giving the gift of great design,

whether it’s a glorious building,

a perfectly cut garment that gives you confidence,

a gorgeous room to find your inner zen,

or tranquil outdoor space, design feeds our soul.

Great design is an art form, it’s eternal. We’re more apt to buy a beautifully designed car.

No one wants an ugly handbag or watch. Do you?

Beautifully designed objects we use or touch every day make life a wonderful experience. The same can be said of a well designed home, office, country club or hotel room. So the next time you’re in search of an interior designer or architect choose wisely. There are many types of designers, they have a wide range of styles, their experience is actually priceless. Some may say “do it yourself, no one can tell the difference, they’re so expensive”. You’ll actually save money if you hire a professional, you typically get what you pay for if you vet them properly.

Designers are educated, have years of training and experience. A real designer has invaluable knowledge that will save you time and money. Hiring a trained professional is worth the expenditure. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

I hope you’re inspired and ready to travel the road to great design, it’s a beautiful journey. Call me, we’ll have a wonderful adventure.

Let’s go,

-K
